Jaljeera cucumber margarita

If you love pani puri, you’ll love this margarita. It takes all the flavors of jaljeera, the water you use for pani puri, and turns them into a delicious cocktail. It’s spicy, tangy, refreshing, and just a tad sweet.

This drink packs some heat, but the cucumber cools it down and provides a nice counter balance.

Enjoy this with some masala lays chips chips and salsa, or spicy cashews!

Ingredients

  • 1 Persian cucumber
  • 1 Indian green chili or serrano pepper
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 6 tablespoons agave
  • 1 heaped tablespoon jaljeera powder
  • 4 cups ice

Instructions

  1. Add cucumber, pepper, tequila, lime juice, agave, and jaljeera powder to a high speed blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. If you want a blended margarita, add ice and blend. If you want it on the rocks, place a few cubes of ice in each glass and pour margarita mixture on top. Serve immediately.
